Headling our very first come dy night we are really excited to welcome the award-winning comedian, write r and actor Sin dhu Vee.
Since swapping a career in investmen t banking for one in comedy, Si ndhu Vee has fast become one of the most exciting and so ught-after talents on the UK circuit. In 2018 Sindhu took her eagerly-anticipat ed debut hour, Sandhog, to the Edinburgh Fringe and was nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. After the Fr inge, Sindhu&n bsp;took Sandhog to the Soho Theatre for two sold-out runs and on a hugely successful 92 date UK tour.
Sindhu’s television career is also firmly on the up. She has twice appeared on BBC Two’s Live At The Apollo, most recently as host, and has guested on BBC panel shows Mock The Week,&nb sp;QI & Have I Got News For You. In 2020, she also acted in t he critically acclaimed Netflix shows Feel Good and Sex Educ ation.
In 2018 Sindhu wrote and hosted her own series, Sindhustan, on Radio 4. She returned to the station this summer with her new series, Things My&nb sp;Mother Never Told Me About Lockdown. Sindhu also co-hosts the Child Labour&nbs p;podcast with Stuart Goldsmith for Radio X.
Joining Sindhu we h ave Brennan Reece, a multi award winning working class wordsmith from the council estates of Manchester.
Over the past few years Brennan Reece has appeared on some of the UK’s biggest come dy shows such as Live At The Apollo (BBC), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), T he Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV), Comedy Central At The Comedy Store (Comedy C entral) and Life Lessons (BBC). He has toured his shows all over the world including Melbourne Comedy Festival, New Zealand Comedy Festival and he was also nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award (Best Newcomer), BBC Ne w Comedy Award and won English Comedian Of The Year. He has written fo r TV shows on BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Comedy Central, and his own original content has clocked up over 15 million views online.
And finally we are delighted to welcome Daisy Earl, one of the fastest rising stars in comedy today.
Since starting sta nd-up in 2013, Daisy Earl has quickly attracted plaudits and accolades ; winning ‘Best New Comedian’ at the Scottish Variety Awards in 2015, and then being crowned ‘Scottish Comedian of the Year’ in the same yea r, making her the first ever female winner. Following a sell-out show at the Adelaide Fringe in 2016, Daisy returned to the UK to scoop ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Chortle Live Comedy Awards before performing t wo further sell-outs runs at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016 and 201 7. Half Scottish, Daisy has performed regularly at the prestigious Sta nd venues in Scotland and was invited to perform at the ‘Scottish Comedian of the Year’ Winner’s Show during the Edinburgh Fringe in 20 16. Daisy now resides in London, where she continues to make a splash on the comedy scene; performing in venues across the UK and earni ng a reputation as a promising and highly original talent. She recentl y supported Tom Stade on his nationwide tour and has just gone through to the regional final for ‘The Funny Women Awards ‘2018. Daisy h as appeared as a guest on BBC Radio’s ‘Breaking the News’, the STV ‘La te Show ‘and BBC Radio 4 Extra’s ‘Best of the Fest’. She is currently working on her hotly-anticipated debut solo show.
