If lockdown is all getting a bit much and the novelty of homeschooling is wearing thin, why not join percussionist Jo May on Wellbeing Wednesday for some family fun! We have two fantastic percussion workshops for you, suitable for all family members to join in together.
Kitchen Percussion: 2-2.45pm
This workshop is specially designed for younger children and those with special needs and disabilities. Have a rummage through your kitchen cupboards and see what you can turn into a musical instrument! Jo will guide you through some simple rhythms and songs, and show you some of the more fancy percussion that she keeps in her kitchen.
Learn to play the spoons: 3-3.45pm
Yes that’s right – spoons! All you need is a pair of spoons from your cutlery drawer and you’re good to go; Jo will show you how to hold them, and how to create a few simple rhythmic riffs. You’ll be starting a family band in no time!
